Act of Random Kindness

I pushed my way through the crowd of women trying to get into the train.Everyone wants to get home after a tiring day,the impact of their nudges indicates who's most eager to!I get in and my eyes scan for a place to sit..none.Retreating to a corner I dread the entire hour that I have to spend standing.I look and feel terribly grumpy.I then feel a hand on my arm,a girl offers me her seat,I sit,I feel relieved,I smile. We kept switching seats at intervals till we got off at our destination(coincidentally the same).I smiled again, thanking her for her kind gesture. It also became something I could write about.(Brownie points!)
When was the last time you were randomly kind? When was the last time you held the door for a friend or a stranger? When did you last hold your umbrella out for someone who didn't have one?If the answers to all these questions takes you way back in time then it's time to begin doing them again.Begin small;smile at a stranger perhaps or pat a stray dog on your way home.Your gesture may not be reciprocated it may not be acknowledged or appreciated either but that is absolutely no reason to stop. When someone someday has been having a bad day your gesture would make them feel a little better;that someone can be you too.As Morgan Freeman said(reference:Evan Almighty) "You know how to change the world son? One act of random kindness at a time."
